  • Temporary, non-tenure track appointment to begin August 1, 2017, pending position availability and funding, annually renewable. Review of applications will begin February 27, 2017 and will continue until position is filled.
Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Teach 24 credits per academic year in Korean language courses at all levels;
  2. Advise undergraduate students;
  3. Participate in departmental and university service;
  4. Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  1. Master’s degree in Korean language or related field;
  2. Two years of experience teaching Korean at the college-level;
  3. High level proficiency in Korean and English;
  4. Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collegially with students, faculty, staff, and administration.
Desirable Qualifications
  1. Ph.D.in Korean language or related field;
  2. Ability to develop innovative curricula and apply appropriate technologies in language instruction;
  3. Familiarity with ACTFL or ILR Oral Proficiency Interview (OPI) scales.
