Duties and Responsibilities
  1. This new faculty position is expected to contribute and enhance one or more of the Department's research efforts in high energy physics, teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses, serve on departmental and/or university-wide committees, and train the next generation of students and postdocs to build experimental devices.
Assistant Professor Minimum Qualifications
  1. Ph.D. in physics or equivalent, demonstrated accomplishments in the development of HEP instrumentation, interest and ability to teach a broad range of physics courses at the undergraduate and graduate level.
Associate Professor Minimum Qualifications
  1. Ph.D. in physics or equivalent, demonstrated accomplishments in the development of HEP instrumentation, interest and ability to teach a broad range of physics courses at the undergraduate and graduate level.
  2. Four years experience at the assistant professor level, or equivalent, is required.
Assistant Professor Desirable Qualifications
  1. At least three years of post-doctoral experience in physics instrumentation at the time of application, demonstrated ability to supervise student research and a clear plan and ability to attract external funding.
Associate Professor Desirable Qualifications
  1. Demonstrated record of extra-mural funding.
