  • For placement in lecturer pool beginning Fall 2016 and for future semesters. Positions are part-time, temporary, non-tenure, and contingent upon course offerings, sufficient student enrollment, position clearance, and availability of funds. Day and/or evening classes.
Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Teach undergraduate American Studies courses or equivalent.
  2. Other related duties, including preparing course syllabus, grading, maintaining weekly office hours.
Minimum Qualifications
  1. Master's degree in American Studies (or applicable field).
  2. Prior graduate studies in American Studies.
Desirable Qualifications
  1. PhD in American Studies (or related field) or in PhD American Studies program (or related field).
  2. Knowledge in appropriate field as evidenced by coursework.
  3. Prior relevant university teaching experience in the field.
